What You'll Do
- Own area performance, priorities, and staffing to achieve daily manufacturing goals.
- Lead shift coverage for maintenance, process, and manufacturing issues.
- Prioritize and coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
- Manage constraint tools and resources to maximize factory output.
- Own manufacturing metrics including utilization, cycle time, holds, scrap, cost, and equipment availability.
- Drive scrap containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Ensure execution of quality systems including PM compliance, tool qualifications, SPC, FDC, and 5S.
- Manage area escalations related to parts, engineering support, priority lots, and operational risks.
- Own training matrix development and cross-training plans for area personnel.
- Support test wafer management and operational readiness.
- Participate in operations reviews, cost reduction activities, continuous improvement projects, and maintenance system enhancements.
- Serve as Operations Section Manager backup when required.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety, OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations, including LO/TO, laser safety, calibration equipment, and chemical handling requirements.
- Complete performance management activities, develop direct reports, and communicate business performance and goals to the team.
- Required Qualifications BS or equivalent in related field is a preference but not required.
- Strong track record of tactical decision-making, and ability to quickly disseminate and execute plans across an organization.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as a proven ability to lead and mentor a team Ability to deal with multiple issues and shifting priorities.
- Working knowledge of SPC, FDC systems, 5S, and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Key Success Factors Ability to analyze complex problems, identify solutions, and drive implementation across the organization.
- Proactive approach to anticipating and resolving operational challenges.
- Strong collaboration skills with engineering, manufacturing, quality, facilities, and other support organizations.
