About This Role
- The Role and Impact We are looking for a talented and motivated Software Applications Engineering Undergraduate Intern who is eager to grow, learn, and make meaningful contributions to Intel's innovative projects and business goals.

- The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to: Contribute to the design, development, and debugging of software applications that interface with Intel products.
- Assist in optimizing application performance and enabling new features across operating systems and user-level applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design and customer teams, to deliver scalable and robust software solutions.
- Apply knowledge of REST API principles and basic ASP.NET Core to develop and implement application features.
- Utilize programming skills in C# and .NET fundamentals to support project objectives.
- Perform database-related tasks, including SQL schema design and writing queries, to support application functionality.
- Use API testing tools, such as Postman or Swagger, to ensure the quality and reliability of software features.
- Employ Git/version control systems to manage and track code changes effectively. - Explore cloud-based solutions and apply cloud basics to software development projects.
Requirements
- Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or licenciatura’s degree in computer engineering, programming, or any other related field (STEM) Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as C# and Python.
- Basic knowledge of ASP.NET Core, REST API principles (HTTP, JSON, CRUD), and entity framework/ORM.
- Familiarity with Git/version control systems.
- Ability to write and comprehend SQL queries and design database schemas.
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman or Swagger.
- Foundational understanding of cloud basics and full-stack software frameworks.
- Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency (both verbal and written).
- Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Costa Rica.

- Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
- Strong problem-solving skills and aptitude for learning new technologies.
