About This Role
- The candidate will be joining the Quantum System Architecture & Software team in the Intel Quantum Computing program.
- Chief duties of this position include: Leads the creation, implementation, and optimization of software codes specifically for Intel quantum hardware constraints.
- Lead the research and development of quantum error correction protocols for fully fault tolerant quantum computing systems.
- Explore the performance of technology alternatives, collaborating with algorithm and application researchers, software engineers and hardware engineers to explore hardware/software trade-offs in the implementation of quantum error correcting codes.
- Collaborate closely with both quantum computing hardware and software teams Qualifications: Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.
- Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field (plus 1+ years experience). • Experience in designing quantum error correction protocols (1+ years). • Demonstrated ability to deliver significant results in a multidisciplinary environment.
Nice to Have
- Quantum computing industrial experience (1+ years). • Experience researching and developing QEC codes for specific hardware constraints.
- Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

- Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $149,600.00-284,580.00 USD The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations.
- Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
