About This Role

  • Key Technical point of contact in IJKK for on-going engagement on the ZAM NEDO program.
  • They should be in a lead position to support the coordination with all of the ZAM program partners, coordinate with the US-based technical team, and independently drive and adapt the IJKK-based technical activities.
  • This role will continue to expand towards being a technical leader to develop and grow wider R+D technical engagement in AI/HPC.
  • Leads technical leadership in the areas of compute architecture, memory technology (most preferred), and advanced system architecture with motivation and background to look ahead 3-5 years from current state of the art supporting Japanese government/commercial initiatives.
  • Drives and expands Applied Research in these technical areas.
  • This includes both novel research and development activities, and active design and manufacturing experience in leading process nodes.
  • Leads technical execution of IJKK R+D programs from architecture through manufacturing and test.
  • The individual will be the critical technical connector between Japanese partners, IJKK, and the US engineering resources supporting the program activities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum BA 15+ years experience in Semiconductors industry Native Japanese and English Proven technical coordination between US and Japanese based engineering teams.
  • Experience in the full development life-cycle of multiple semiconductor programs.
  • Experience in research and development on advanced (3-5 year event horizon) semiconductor innovations.
  • Proven ability to balance strategic initiative with pragmatic and tactical engineering execution.
  • Strong technical relationships within the Japanese research and commercial eco-system.
