Principal Accountant

Overview

• Position Summary · Manage accounting activities for assigned entities, including accurate bookkeeping, T&E, period-end closing, local statutory audits, and annual filings, while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and local statutory and tax requirements.
• · Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations, treasury reports, and other reports required by Corporate Finance or local government authorities for assigned entities.
• · Drive process standardization and automation initiatives to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• · Oversee all tax-related matters for assigned entities, including transfer pricing, VAT, corporate income tax, other local taxes, and inquiries from tax authorities.
• · Serve as a trusted finance partner to business teams by clearly communicating finance-related matters and providing training as needed.
• · Act as a technical accounting resource and participate in regional and global finance projects, including system rollouts and policy updates.
• Position Requirements · Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• · At least seven years of accounting experience, including general ledger accounting, period-end close, and statutory reporting.
• · Strong knowledge of US GAAP and China Accounting Standards (CAS), with a working knowledge of China tax regulations.
• · Experience with SAP and Concur is preferred; advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required.
• · Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
• · Quick learner with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
