Lead Application Engineer (Defense) (AE3)

What You'll Do

• Provide technical proposals in support of sales activities for the various CAE software products of Cadence.
• Understand customer needs and, based on those needs, propose Cadence products and related consulting services.
• Coordinate with the domestic technical team and external partners who carry out the actual technical work, and ensure that customer requirements are accurately conveyed to and reflected by them.
• Report and coordinate development requests, defects, and other issues with the software development departments, which are located mainly overseas.
• Skills & Attributes Foundational knowledge of linear and nonlinear finite element structural analysis and over 5 years of experience are required.
• Experience with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis is desirable.
• Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working across multiple services and pre-sales engagements.
• Able to report, communicate, and consult with internal and external parties at the appropriate times.
• Must be able to travel for business by train or other means.
• Must be able to undertake business trips requiring overnight stays.
• Must be able to travel overseas for business.
• Written communication skills in English are required.
• Verbal communication skills in English are desirable.
• Education & Qualifications A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• Master's degree in mechanical engineering is desirable.
