Working Student (f/m/d) - Internal Communication for System Innovation

Overview

• The System Innovation team works on forward-looking projects with national and international partners from industry and academia.
• We develop system demonstrators that bring new technologies to life and make complex concepts tangible.
• In this working student role, you will help make our projects, results and team activities understandable and visible across NXP.
• You will learn how to turn technical input into engaging stories for internal audiences and gain practical experience in corporate communication, content creation and stakeholder coordination.
• A role designed for learning: We are not looking for a fully experienced communications professional.
• A good foundation, first writing or content-creation experience and an interest in technology are important, while curiosity, creativity and willingness to learn are equally valuable.
• What You Will Work On and Learn Create and edit internal social media posts that highlight project results, demonstrators, events, milestones and team activities.
• Translate technical information from engineers and project teams into clear, concise and engaging content for non-technical and mixed internal audiences.
• Conduct short interviews and gather input from project contributors to identify key messages, achievements and relevant stories.
• Learn how to adapt content for different internal communication formats, target groups and levels of technical detail.
• Support the creation of simple visuals, image selections, headlines and short-form copy that complement written posts.
• Help maintain a communication overview and coordinate content with project timelines, events and internal milestones.
• Review content for clarity, consistency, tone and accuracy before publication.
• Use feedback and engagement insights to improve future communication and storytelling.
• What You Bring You are enrolled in communications, media studies, journalism, marketing, business, technical communication or a comparable field of study.
• You enjoy writing and can explain complex topics in a structured, accessible and engaging way.
• You have first experience creating written or visual content through university projects, student initiatives, internships, personal projects or social media activities.
• You are interested in technology and motivated to understand the essentials of technical projects before communicating them.
• You are comfortable speaking with different stakeholders, asking questions and turning their input into a coherent story.
• Basic experience with Microsoft 365 tools and simple visual content tools is beneficial.
• You do not need to be an expert and will develop your skills further in practice.
• You are reliable, organized and attentive to detail, and you are willing to learn from feedback and gradually take ownership of communication tasks.
• You have very good English writing and communication skills; German is beneficial.
