Hardware Design/Test Engineer

• · Education: Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent · Experience with embedded, automotive, industrial, consumer, networking, or semiconductor evaluation hardware. · Basic scripting ability (Python, MATLAB, or similar) for test automation, data logging, or measurement analysis. · Exposure to SPICE simulation or signal/power integrity analysis tools. · Experience supporting products through prototype, validation, certification, and production stages. · Familiarity with PCB fabrication, assembly, manufacturing test, and component qualification. · Exposure to environmental and reliability testing: temperature, vibration, thermal cycling, or humidity. · Experience working with external design partners, PCB manufacturers, test laboratories, or component suppliers.
• EXPECTED LEVEL OF OWNERSHIP Within HWS-CC, this engineer will be expected to: · Independently design and validate assigned circuit blocks. · Coordinate PCB implementation for assigned portions of the design. · Bring up and debug prototype hardware with limited supervision. · Prepare and execute test plans for assigned functions and interfaces. · Support EMI/EMC investigation and certification activities as part of a larger engineering team. · Proactively flag design risks, schedule impacts, and component availability issues before they become blockers. · Escalate architecture, high-speed design, safety, and complex compliance issues to senior technical experts. · Maintain accurate design, test, and issue-tracking documentation.
