About This Role
- As a Manufacturing Technician Trainee at Intel Ireland, you will support wafer manufacturing operations in a high-volume semiconductor environment while developing the technical knowledge and skills required for a successful career in manufacturing.
- You will work with advanced manufacturing equipment, follow established procedures, and contribute to safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
- In this role, you will: • Perform functions associated with all aspects of wafer production, including manufacturing operations, equipment handling, and process-related activities. • Support equipment operation within the manufacturing area to meet output, quality, and safety goals. • Learn to conduct maintenance and repair activities on manufacturing equipment under supervision and as part of structured training. • Assist in troubleshooting equipment and process issues and support defect reduction initiatives. • Use technical manuals, specifications, drawings, diagrams, schematics, and verbal instructions to perform assigned tasks. • Develop problem-solving skills and use relevant tools and test equipment to address production and equipment challenges. • Follow standard operating procedures closely and maintain a high level of attention to detail in all activities. • Work collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to support production objectives. • Contribute to a high-performing team environment through strong communication, teamwork, and accountability. • Participate fully in on-the-job training, coaching, and development activities throughout the traineeship. • Support business needs that may require travel on assignment for varying durations.

- Minimum Qualifications/Experience: Candidates must be currently pursuing a relevant technical qualification in an approved Science or Engineering discipline, which would include but not be limited to: • An NFQ Certificate (Level 6), Diploma / Ordinary Bachelor's / Higher Certificate (Level 7), in one of the following areas: Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical / Electronic, Aircraft Systems, Process Technology, Instrumentation, Advanced Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, or a related discipline.
- Candidates must be available to work full time for a minimum of six months In addition, viable candidates must meet the following requirements: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • The ability to work proactively and with minimal supervision as skills develop. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a high-performing team. • A high level of attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures closely. • Good planning and organizational skills. • The ability to work on a monthly rotating shift pattern .
