About This Role
- The Role and Impact As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for Intel employees.

- Key Responsibilities - Prepare and send inputs to payroll vendors for compensation calculations. - Perform computations and adjustments necessary for payroll processing, including exception items and special handling. - Create and maintain employee master data along with other payroll-related information to produce accurate payroll system reports. - Ensure timely and accurate payment of wages, benefits, and associated transactions. - Own payroll support operations, resolve employee inquiries, and document processes for continuous improvement. - Conduct regular audits of payroll records to ensure accuracy and compliance. - Collaborate with Finance for general ledger interfaces, journal entries, and month-end reports to allocate earnings appropriately. - Monitor and escalate any anomalies or errors to ensure defect-free processes. - Identify and report process improvements, operational efficiencies, and gaps in payroll procedures to management. - Champion lean methodologies and deploy cost-competitive solutions to enhance performance and user experience. - Ensure compliance with internal policies and external government regulations. - Work closely with cross-functional teams on payroll-specific change management and communication strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience per business needs. - 0-1+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 0 years with a Master's degree. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. - Knowledge of payroll accounting and familiarity with compliance frameworks, such as SOX. - Technical skills in payroll systems and process automation. - Fluency in English, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with stakeholders globally.
- Preferred Qualifications - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail. - Effective business partnering and stakeholder management capabilities. - Versatility and resilience when navigating ambiguity or managing unforeseen challenges. - Previous experience with payroll system automation and data accuracy audits. - Ability to work collaboratively across teams and time zones.
