- The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to: Develop signal integrity solutions for high-speed platforms, boards, and packages, including 2D and 3D model extracts of electrical structures.
- Define and implement signal integrity rules while documenting characterization and measurement reports.
- Perform simulations to guide physical implementation of interconnects, optimizing design margins and addressing electrical performance challenges.
- Design and characterize test structures, correlate simulations with measurements using high-speed equipment, and debug interconnect challenges.
- Create electrical specifications and collaborate with industry consortiums to develop next-generation interconnect standards.
- Develop and document guidelines for implementation in platform design guides to ensure seamless integration for end customers.
- Collaborate with IP design and silicon integration teams to maximize platform-level solutions and minimize degradation (e.g., crosstalk, jitter, power noise).
- Apply detailed knowledge of signal integrity design and tradeoffs to enable innovative and cost-effective solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of relevant industry experience with a bachelor's degree, 2+ years with a master's degree. 3+ years of experience in DDR memory interface design fundamentals, signal and power integrity analysis, and package design and development.
- Intermediate knowledge in 3D EM Solver tools and 3D modeling software.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical fundamentals and I/O principles.
- Ability to execute disciplined processes and deliver technical documentation.
- Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency (both verbal and written).
- Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Costa Rica.
