- The Role and Impact As a Manufacturing Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, installing, and enhancing manufacturing systems that meet factory requirements and drive operational excellence.

- Key Responsibilities Evaluate electronic or electromechanical system designs and provide input for optimization.
- Integrate, test, install, and configure hardware and software systems in the manufacturing environment.
- Coordinate factory requirements and map them to automation system capabilities, recommending technical solutions.
- Use data analytics to identify and resolve system issues, ensuring equipment reliability and performance.
- Develop metrics and monitoring processes for manufacturing systems.
- Lead preventive maintenance programs to meet equipment availability targets.
- Collaborate across factories to drive continuous improvement roadmaps and achieve new equipment performance goals.
- Work with suppliers to troubleshoot issues and improve existing and new products.
- Manage projects, including requirements definition, planning, budgeting, design, procurement, installation, and post-implementation reviews.
- Conduct gap analyses for disruptive technologies, design systems to enable them, and lead implementation with high-volume manufacturing partners.
Qualifications
- Min. 2–6 years of relevant professional experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- Master's degree preferred (MBA or relevant technical field).
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, startup‑style environment and effectively manage stress.
- Hands-on experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) within a manufacturing environment, with exposure to shop floor systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Experience supporting multiple NPI projects is preferred.
- Willingness and ability to work onsite in Penang.
