  • Key Responsibilities Evaluate electronic or electromechanical system designs and provide input for optimization.
  • Integrate, test, install, and configure hardware and software systems in the manufacturing environment.
  • Coordinate factory requirements and map them to automation system capabilities, recommending technical solutions.
  • Use data analytics to identify and resolve system issues, ensuring equipment reliability and performance.
  • Develop metrics and monitoring processes for manufacturing systems.
  • Lead preventive maintenance programs to meet equipment availability targets.
  • Collaborate across factories to drive continuous improvement roadmaps and achieve new equipment performance goals.
  • Work with suppliers to troubleshoot issues and improve existing and new products.
  • Manage projects, including requirements definition, planning, budgeting, design, procurement, installation, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Conduct gap analyses for disruptive technologies, design systems to enable them, and lead implementation with high-volume manufacturing partners.

Qualifications

  • Min. 2–6 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred (MBA or relevant technical field).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, startup‑style environment and effectively manage stress.
  • Hands-on experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) within a manufacturing environment, with exposure to shop floor systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Experience supporting multiple NPI projects is preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to work onsite in Penang.
