About This Role

  • We are seeking a highly motivated Intern Hardware Verification Engineer to join our engineering team and support the verification of next ‑ generation hardware designs.
  • In this role, you will collaborate closely with experienced verification and design engineers to develop, execute, and debug verification environments, ensuring functional correctness, performance, and reliability of complex hardware components.
  • This internship offers hands-on exposure to industry-standard verification methodologies, tools, and workflows, providing an excellent opportunity to strengthen your technical skills while contributing to real-world silicon development projects.
  • In this position, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Help develop automation in execution and debugging by using your SW skills for programming and scripting.
  • Assists engineering in assessing process health and defect identification during the verification phase.
  • Conduct engineering and detailed experimental testing to collect data or assist in research.
  • Perform operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
  • Working with Hardware validation engineers and Designers in lab activities.
  • Reviewing the procedures and methodologies for the areas listed previously to improve efficiency and find better tools and innovative validation strategies.
  • This candidate will lead an improvement project to enhance our documentation.
  • Run test cases according to a defined test plan, reporting results to engineering teams.
  • Assist engineers in further debugging failing devices to help find underlying Silicon or product bugs and set up and run particular experiments.
  • Collaborate with other validation areas of Design, BIOS, System validation, and other different teams to support development and data collection and debug and/or analysis and/or documentation and/or reporting Apply analog and digital electronic knowledge to debug technical problems related to board design.

  • As an Intern Hardware Verification Engineer, you will gain hands-on experience and practical knowledge in the following areas: Fundamentals of hardware verification methodologies, including functional verification concepts and coverage-driven verification.
  • How to develop, execute, and debug testbenches to validate hardware designs at the IP, subsystem, or SoC level.
  • Techniques for analyzing simulation results, identifying functional issues, and collaborating with design engineers to debug and resolve defects.
  • Use of industry-standard EDA tools for simulation, waveform analysis, regression execution, and results tracking.
  • Understanding of digital design concepts, including clocking, reset strategies, interfaces, protocols, and basic micro-architecture.
  • Best practices for documentation, version control, and collaborative development in a professional engineering environment.
  • Insight into the full silicon development lifecycle, from design and verification through tape-out and validation.
  • Development of problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills while working in cross-functional engineering teams.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electricity, Mechatronics, or computer engineering or a STEM related field. 3 months of experience in: Lab equipment: oscilloscopes, probes, multimeters, programmers, etc. to analyze low and high-speed electronic signals.
  • PC component architecture (CPU, motherboard, memory, storage, video, USB, networking, wireless) and how variations to each component affect overall PC functionality and performance.
  • Proficient experience with Windows and Linux OS.
  • Advance English level.
  • Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico (this role is not eligible for visa or immigration sponsorship).

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Python and running tests and debug components from command line interfaces.
  • Good board-level debug skills and analyze complex electronic circuits and systems.
  • Keeping track of providing support to several programs simultaneously.
  • A candidate who accepts an offer of employment in Mexico is required to present their own personal identification information and numbers for the following: Mexican Security Number (NSS), Tax Identification Number (RFC) and CURP identification number.
