About This Role
- The Role and Impact Intel is seeking an experienced Government Affairs Specialist to drive its legislative, regulatory, and policy advocacy strategies.
- In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping public policy priorities that align with Intel's business objectives and thought leadership.
- By leveraging your expertise in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and government relations, you will ensure Intel remains at the forefront of technological innovation while navigating complex regulatory landscapes.
- Your contributions will directly impact Intel's ability to influence global policy, secure favorable governmental outcomes, and maintain a competitive edge in the industry.
- Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for legislative, regulatory, and policy advocacy at global, federal, state, and local levels.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with government entities, intergovernmental institutions, and industry associations.
- Represent Intel in high-level meetings with congressional, government officials, regulatory, and professional organizations to advance public policy priorities.
- Monitor, anticipate, and address challenges arising from evolving public policy, regulatory, and political environments.
- Draft briefings, presentations, and reports for Intel executives, policymakers, and external stakeholders.
- Facilitate programs to ensure internal awareness of applicable legislation and proposed regulations.
- Manage external advocacy efforts, including consultants, to support Intel's business and outreach objectives.
- Provide subject matter expertise in specific policy areas and recommend policy directions.
- Collaborate across internal teams to align corporate strategies, policies, and initiatives with emerging government laws and standards.
- Proven expertise in developing, implementing, and managing government affairs strategies.
- Proficiency in stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate challenges and provide solutions within regulatory frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or a related field, and/or prolonged study in a specialized area per business needs. 12 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, 8 years with a Master's degree, or 6 years with a PhD.
- Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant field, such as Public Policy, Business Administration, or International Relations.
- Experience representing a global corporation before high-level government bodies and industry organizations.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive meaningful policy change.
- Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and build consensus in complex environments.
