About This Role

  • Intel CAIGC (AI and GPU IP Business Unit) is centered on leading AI technologies and foundational software ecosystems.
  • We collaborate with OS vendors (OSVs), independent software vendors (ISVs), and global developers to build an end-to-end AI software ecosystem, enabling customers to deliver differentiated experiences.
  • The team focuses on two core areas: first, empowering the AI PC ecosystem through dedicated NPU IP; second, delivering full-stack GPU IP across Intel's product portfolio, including Media, Display, and Graphics, achieving integrated delivery from silicon IP to system platforms and supporting the GPU technology roadmap.
  • Our mission is to reshape end-user experiences with AI and drive high-performance computing with GPUs, strengthening Intel's leadership in the AI PC and GPU domains.
  • The work will primarily focus on AI-driven software development and validation, with responsibilities including building and optimizing software quality measurement and tracking systems.
  • Position Requirements: 1.
  • Education and Experience: Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, with relevant industry experience and a strong interest in AI technologies. 2.
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Develop high-performance software modules using Python/C/C++ with cutting-edge AI technologies and models, including key components such as video codecs and video processing pipelines • Perform performance analysis, tuning, and optimization of media drivers across various Intel platforms in multi-operating system environments (Windows, Linux) • Develop automated validation tools, conduct system debugging and integration, and perform performance optimization • Deploy advanced AI technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision-Language Models (VLMs) within agentic frameworks Qualifications: Qualifications: • Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, with relevant work experience and strong interest in AI technologies • Hands-on experience in Windows/Linux software development, with solid understanding of the full software development and testing lifecycle • Proficient in Python/C/C++, with strong code quality awareness and adherence to coding standards • Strong self-motivation for learning, passion for solving complex technical problems, and proactive thinking and innovation ability • Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications: • Deep understanding of video encoding/decoding and video processing technologies • Knowledge of LLMs, Agentic AI, and VLM technologies Job Type: Experienced Hire Shift: Shift 1 (China) Primary Location: PRC, Shanghai Additional Locations: Business group: Silicon and Platform Engineering Group (SPE): Deliver breakthrough silicon and platform solutions that deliver industry-leading products today while also defining the next generation of computing experiences.
