Quantum Device Modeling Engineer

Nice to Have

• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Physics, Photonics, Microelectronics, Quantum Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience modeling superconducting devices and structures, including Josephson junctions, SQUIDs, kinetic inductance, superconducting resonators, transmission lines, or qubit-adjacent circuit elements.
• Experience modeling photonic or optoelectronic elements, including waveguides, couplers, modulators, ring resonators, photodetectors, lasers, or optical interconnects.
• Experience with equivalent-circuit, compact, behavioral, reduced-order, electromagnetic, or multiphysics model development for design enablement.
• Knowledge of cryogenic material behavior, RF/microwave effects, optical loss and dispersion, variability, parasitics, thermal effects, and model convergence challenges.
• Experience with Verilog-A, SPICE subcircuits, photonic compact-model libraries, or other model formats used in circuit and system simulation.
• Experience supporting QPDK, PDK, model-library, or design-kit releases, including model QA, regression testing, version control, and customer-facing documentation.
• Familiarity with heterogeneous integration, advanced packaging, superconducting interposers, quantum interconnects, or co-simulation across electrical, optical, thermal, and electromagnetic domains.
• Project management skills, including the ability to innovate, execute solutions that matter, and navigate ambiguity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong planning and organizational skills.
• Expected Salary Range $98,000.00 - $176,000.00 The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
