Engineer Silicon Photonics Characterization

What You'll Do

• Perform detailed measurements of integrated photonic devices, circuits and subsystems Develop, build, and operate customized optical measurement setups Develop scripts for photonic circuit initialization, control, and automated data acquisition Work closely with design team to enable comprehensive performance evaluation and root-cause analysis Coordinate with offsite measurement partners and external suppliers as needed Contribute to continuous improvement of characterization techniques and measurement methodologies Required Qualifications BSc, or MSc in Electronics and Communication Engineering or a relevant discipline with focus on Silicon Photonics or Integrated Optics 1+ years of relevant industrial experience Strong fundamentals in physics, electromagnetics, and integrated optics Hands-on experience in characterization and measurement of integrated photonic circuits Programming and data analysis skills using MATLAB, LabVIEW, and/or Python Solid understanding of silicon photonics fabrication, packaging and testing methods Experience with high-speed photonic device characterization is a strong We Offer Base Salary Equity Annual Bonus Plan Medical Insurance Information about our benefits you can find here: https://gf.com/careers/opportunities-in-europe/
