Sr Principal Application Engineer

What You'll Do

• You will work closely with account teams to deliver innovative solutions to complex challenges, while also partnering with R&D to ensure successful deployment and support.
• Key Responsibilities Build technical credibility and strong relationships with customers; serve as their primary technical contact.
• Provide deep technical support in collaboration with R&D to enable advanced acceleration/emulation flows and secure design wins.
• Advocate for customer needs and collaborate with R&D and Marketing to develop competitive, creative technical solutions.
• Analyze the competitive landscape and continuously work to differentiate Cadence’s offerings.
• Requirements BSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. 8+ years of experience in design or verification.
• Experience developing verification environments using SystemVerilog (advantage).
• Familiarity with eRM, OVM, or UVM methodologies (advantage).
• Knowledge of protocols such as JTAG, UART, PCIe, AXI, DDR (advantage).
• Experience in hardware acceleration, in-circuit emulation, or FPGA prototyping (highly desirable).
• Strong English communication skills—both verbal and written.
• Team-oriented mindset, mature work attitude, and sound judgment under pressure.
