- We are looking for a highly motivated, well-qualified software engineer to help develop and maintain build configurations for a large, multi-platform, suite of drug discovery scientific software.
- The qualified individual will also be working on continuous integration setup, build and test automation, and deployment of the software suite.
- The ability to work on multiple platforms, troubleshoot complex software systems, multi-task, and write robust software solutions would be key to being successful in this position.
- The configuration management engineer is also expected to interact and work alongside the scientific developers and key players in the IT group.
- What you’ll do: Work alongside highly skilled software engineers and scientific developers providing solutions for drug discovery modeling to accelerate efforts to design and discovery novel pharmaceutical compounds for human health.
- Manage and extend the automated build and testing framework to support all applications and toolkits in the OpenEye suite.
- Work with scientific developers to understand and troubleshoot platform-specific issues in their code.
- Modernize existing build infrastructure to ensure we keep pace with changes operating systems, languages, etc.
- What you should have: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 1-3+ years relevant experience developing in modern scientific languages (Python/C++/etc.) Experience with build scripts, build management and continuous integration Good people/communication skills and ability to work as a part of a team Ability to work under a development schedule, balancing features with delivery The following are a PLUS, but not required: 3-5+ years experience developing in C/C++ and related build systems with CMake Experience with build management of large scale, complex code base Continuous Integration experience with TeamCity We’re doing work that matters.
