About This Role

  • As part of ADIs Sustainable Automation team, you will play a key role in developing leading-edge products and technology.
  • Working within a talented team of application engineers, you will be responsible for supporting assigned IC products through their full product life-cycle from proof of concept, early evaluation, to product release and customer support.
  • This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about developing experience in industrial systems covering sensors, controllers, and actuator applications.
  • The top candidate will be creative and willing to contribute individually while working in a team environment to solve complex and challenging problems.
  • Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Design and test evaluation boards, reference designs, and proof of concept systems to demonstrate new product features and performance in the target end markets, including hardware, firmware and software design Conduct bench test, take typical performance characteristics, perform transient immunity tests, and gather all data for successful product evaluation and customer support Generate datasheets and application notes to assist customers with new designs Eager to contribute to new concept and innovations solving customer problems Support all new product release activities across teams within the company Provide technical support to key customers and field applications engineers Create technical training material and demos to support internal and external trainings, conferences and tradeshows Minimum Requirements : BS in electrical engineering with 8 to 10+ years of experience or MS with 6 to 8+ years of experience.
  • Understanding of analog and digital system design, with knowledge of and experience in industrial connectivity technologies such as RS-485, CAN, industrial ethernet, IO-Link, Digital or Analog I/O, and serial interfaces such as SPI and I2C Experience working with industrial automation companies would be preferred Experience in embedded firmware development skills using C/C++, and GUI development using C# Hands-on experience designing, programming, testing, and debugging evaluation boards, reference designs, proof of concept boards and demos Extensive PCB design experience with schematic capture, layout, fab and assembly Deep knowledge and Lab testing experience using common test equipment (Oscilloscope, DMM, Signal Generator, etc.) Basic knowledge of EMI/EMC standards and test experience as applicable to Industrial end-equipment.
  • Communicate effectively, both internally and externally, via verbal and written communication Prioritize and manage several open tasks simultaneously, work both independently and with a cross-functional team #LI-CO1 For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S.
  • Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S.
  • Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
