Staff Engineer, Functional Safety

Qualifications

• Minimum BS/BEng in Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering; MSEE or MSCE Experience and Skills Experience architecting functionally safe systems for industrial automation, motion control, or robotics based on IEC 61508 or ISO 13849 .
• Experience with robot safety functions or concepts ( e.g.
• Stopping function including safe torque off, Monitoring function such as safely limited speed) Strong understanding of safety mechanisms relevant to motor control, power electronics, and servo drives.
• Familiarity with IEC 62443 industrial cyber security principles.
• Experience with module level or board level industrial products (motor drives, sensors).
• Experience in developing and maintaining functional safety work products (preferably in a lead role).
• Demostrated s trong problem-solving skills with an A p plication - and System-level mindset Good verbal and written English communication skills to work effectively with teams spread across the globe and work with our industrial customers in Europe, US and A sia For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S.
• Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S.
• Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
