Embedded Engineer, Audio SW Systems

About This Role

• We are seeking an Embedded Systems Audio Software Engineer to drive the integration of cutting-edge audio technology into consumer devices.
• The engineer will work on audio software development, including driver development, audio solution development, and system integration.
• Responsibilities As an Audio Software Engineer, you will: Develop device drivers for ADI audio ICs.
• Design, implement, and verify algorithms and firmware for target systems or silicon platforms.
• Develop and execute audio test procedures for various platforms, including Linux and Windows.
• Support system integration, debugging, and troubleshooting across multiple hardware platforms.
• Basic Requirements BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience). 3+ years of software or firmware development experience, including 2+ years in the audio field.
• Familiarity with embedded system software, RTOS, and ALSA drivers.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Strong coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred Skills Good understanding of digital signal processing (DSP).
• Experience with GUI development.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with the Android audio framework and mobile audio systems.
• Experience developing Windows audio drivers.
• Experience supporting mass production as a key audio software engineer.
• For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S.
• Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S.
• Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
