Test Engineering Software & Automation Engineer

Overview

• We are looking for a DevOps / Platform Engineer, Test Automation to develop and operate the tooling, infrastructure, and software that support semiconductor test-program development and test engineering workflows.
• This role combines platform engineering, software development, and semiconductor test automation.
• You will help build reliable development environments, improve engineering productivity through automation, and contribute to the software ecosystem used by Test Engineering teams worldwide.
• This position is intentionally designed as a bridge between platform engineering, software engineering, and semiconductor test and product engineering.
• Candidates interested in semiconductor technology will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of test and product engineering while continuing to shape the automation, software, and infrastructure used across our engineering organization.
• Your Missions: Build, maintain, and improve Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and scalable build environments Operate and evolve cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure supporting semiconductor test software development Help migrate workloads to modern containerized platforms Containerize applications and services using Docker Maintain PostgreSQL infrastructure, schemas, and data models Develop software tools, automation frameworks, API integrations, and data-processing pipelines using Python and Java Support the development and maintenance of test engineering software used for NPI, characterization, and production test activities Improve automation, reuse, and standardization of software components and engineering workflows Develop scripting and automation solutions for test execution, data analysis, reporting, and process optimization Improve reliability, monitoring, security, documentation, and overall developer experience Support engineers in adopting software development best practices, including version control, code reviews, testing, and automation Collaborate closely with Test Engineering, Product Engineering, Design, and Infrastructure teams to deliver scalable solutions Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to build systems, automation frameworks, test software, and deployment pipelines Your Profile: Minimum 5 years of experience in the same domain or job Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Monitoring, observability, and operational excellence practices Networking, secrets management, and security best practices Experience in semiconductor test engineering, electronics, or hardware-related development environments Experience mentoring engineers or driving adoption of software engineering best practices Knowledge of digital and/or analog test methodologies Fluent in English We are looking for a Candidate with an experience in: Jenkins adminstration and CI/CD pipeline development Linux environments and software deployment AWS EC2 or similar cloud infrastructure Docker and containerized applications Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms PostgreSQL and SQL Python and/or Java software development Git-based workflows and modern software development practices REST APIs and system integrations Test automation, scripting, and engineering productivity tools Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to engineers with different backgrounds A collaborative approach and the ability to work across organizational boundaries A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and automation The ability to build trust, influence change, and support teams through new ways of working More information about NXP in France..
