What You'll Do
- Bachelors or masters in computer science or electronics with at least 2+ years of industry or research experience.
- Performance Analysis & Optimization · Define and execute performance validation strategies for Ethernet hardware and software subsystems. · Characterize system performance including: o Throughput o Packet processing rate (PPS) o Latency and jitter o Buffer utilization o CPU and memory efficiency · Analyze packet processing pipelines and identify performance bottlenecks in hardware, drivers, and software stacks. · Develop methodologies to optimize Ethernet datapath performance across varying traffic patterns and workloads.
- Hardware Performance Engineering · Evaluate performance of Ethernet MAC, PHY, switch, NIC, and packet processing hardware. · Analyze bus utilization, DMA performance, memory bandwidth, cache efficiency, and hardware acceleration engines.
- Performance characterization of pre-silicon and post-silicon platforms.
