What You'll Do
- Reducing defectivity Reducing cycle time Improving tool utilization and availability Identification and reduction of recurrent machine faults Reducing cost Scrap reduction and yield improvement Supporting development activities Developing and writing specifications Implementation of Six-Sigma statistical process control methods Capacity planning and modeling Participating in and/or leading cross-functional and lean activity teams Training others Key challenges Ability to work in a high volume 24x7 manufacturing environment Ability to work individually, in small work groups or larger teams Ability to deal with multiple issues and sliding priorities Must be self-motivated; able to take initiative, self-generate projects, and effectively prioritize work Willing to adjust work schedule as needed to support factory priorities 24x7 Be responsible for multiple tools across multiple platforms Cross-functional aspects Collaborate with Maintenance, Manufacturing, Facilities, Analytical Lab, and Device Engineering teams.
- Collaborate with peers in other factories to implement Best Known Methods (BKMs).
- Collaborate and work with OEM and second source vendors Job qualifications BS or MS in an engineering or science discipline 7+ years of experience in process engineering in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment preferred Previous experience in Cleans process role preferred Previous experience with the following toolsets is highly desirable: SCP9400, WS-820L, Akrion GAMA wet benches; Semitool SST, SAT, RADR batch solvent cleaning systems Screen 80B/80EX spray tools FSI Mercury/Zeta Ability to generate, analyze, and interpret equipment and process performance data and produce timely action plans to resolve recurring failures.
- Demonstrated presentation skills, including the ability to train others and present complex datasets, process issues, and solutions to diverse audiences.
- Competent in troubleshooting problems and capable of applying logic to isolate and resolve them.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with manufacturing and equipment engineering to deal with issues and priorities.
- Good foundational problem-solving skills with creative solutions and out-of-the-box thinking.
- Self-motivated; able to take initiative and effectively prioritize work for self.
- A strong desire to help create a positive, winning, world class working environment.
- Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing methods is highly desirable.
