What You'll Do
- Regulatory monitoring: monitor regulatory developments (new laws and revisions), lead regulatory intake and logging.
- Regulatory intelligence: provide legal interpretation or regulations and obligations, advise on regulatory applicability, risk exposure and legal consequences.
- Strategic regulatory partnership: Work closely with the Government Affairs team and other relevant stakeholders to proactively identify regulatory changes that require strategic decisions, policy advocacy and coordinated internal and regulatory engagement.
- Regulatory monitoring tool: own NXP's regulatory monitor tool and ensure NXP's technical capability to monitor relevant regulatory changes.
- Stakeholder engagement and oversight: Identify and work with key stakeholders to create awareness of new and revised compliance requirements; support risk impact assessments, compliance gap analyses and track progress toward compliance, escalate issues and delays as appropriate.
- Regulatory engagement: Act as the key legal contact for interactions with regulators and external counsel in EMEA.
- Qualifications Law degree (LLM) in an EMEA jurisdiction.
- Significant relevant experience in regulatory/compliance advisory work, ideally in a multinational, technology or semiconductor environment.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor and interpret complex, evolving regulatory requirements and convert them into clear, actionable, pragmatic guidance for business stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, international organization.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
- Preferred Attributes Experience with regulatory intelligence and/or regulatory change management programs and tools.
- Familiarity with regulatory areas relevant to semiconductors and connected ecosystems (e.g., cybersecurity and ICT regulation, product compliance/origin related requirements, and broader technology governance topics).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, evolving regulatory environment.
- Pragmatic, solutions‑oriented mindset with strong business acumen and sound judgment.
- Track record of effective cross-functional collaboration and influencing without formal authority.
