Principal Analog Validation Engineer

About This Role

• Build parametric validation plans from electrical specifications.
• Write software to configure device under test (DUT) for required test cases.
• Create hardware automation sequences to perform parametric measurements over process, voltage, temperature, and DUT configurations.
• Analyze parametric data to report pass/fail/margin to electrical specs and generate summary reports.
• Interface with Design, Product & Test Engineering, Applications, Software, Product Analysis teams to debug IP-related issues.
• Research and recommend hardware required to perform required measurements.
• Generate hardware design requirements and participate in schematic and layout reviews.
• Job Qualification : Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with a minimum of 12 years of industry experience.
• Experience with high-speed/RF lab equipment including oscilloscopes, BER testers, vector network analyzers, phase noise analyzers.
• C programming experience.
• TestStand and Python a plus.
• Data analysis using Excel, JMP, and/or PowerBI.
• Debug of hardware setups and schematic reading.
• Familiarity with SerDes validation and Ethernet IEEE 802.3 and PCIe protocols desired Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail for an understanding of silicon, board, and software interactions.
• Able to debug silicon and signal integrity issues.
• AI prompting for software generation a plus.
