PPAP Coordinator

Overview

• Overall Purpose of the Role This role is part of the Production Part Approval Process team, that facilitate NXP to demonstrate confidence in NXP products and production processes for automotive customers (described by IATF 16949).
• The PPAP Coordinator is responsible for the PPAP process for the assigned BLs, supports part approvals in official PPAP format and with documented results.
• Key Areas of Responsibility: - Being aware of the 18 elements of the PPAP document that are the requirements of the AIAG PPAP 4th edition standard - Provide support to other teams and departments within the company (automotive business lines, sales teams, and manufacturing teams) to complete and compile PPAPs and Part Submission Warrants (PSWs) - Participate in PPAP coordination meetings with assigned business lines and keep track on status of all projects - Manage PPAP updates - triggered by product changes or customer requests (Support customer-driven PPAP changes, updates, and/or questions) - Provide status updates to the customer contacts of pending PPAP changes and PPAP submissions - Manage time to keep PPAP deadlines - Complete tasks in the PPAP Tool: - Create, track, and manage multiple requests by using the automated NXP PPAP Tool, - Support Engineering groups and customer support teams with PPAP creations and/or updates - Understand the requirements of the IMDS entry process and cooperate with customers and NXP ECO-Products team in obtaining the IMDS data for the PPAP document.
• Required Skills, Knowledge Levels and Experience: - Ability to act independently and efficiently to complete assignments - Customer-focused mindset and desire for total quality - Experience in organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple projects - Excellent communication skills for all ranks of peers, engineers, managers, internal/ external customers - written and verbal - Ability to analyze and interpret general technical data.
