Mold Equipment Engineer

About This Role

• The Equipment Engineer is responsible for innovation and improvement in our injection molding.
• This is a hands-on position that works collaboratively with our team to define and develop safe and effective manufacturing process methods, parameters, and procedures, maintenance and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoots equipment/process problems with logical engineering and scientific practice.
• Essential Duties & Responsibilities Performs complex research and analysis tasks to determine feasibility of design.
• Lead a group of equipment techs to perform daily machine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance Work with MFG and process team on OEE, MTBA, MTBF and Downtime Improvement Work on machine continuous improvement plan to improve quality performance and yield improvement Involved in the selection of the appropriate and cost-effective manufacturing engineering tools and machine Implements appropriate statistical process controls on key input and process variables.
• Provides technical assistance to manufacturing to implement new technology.
• Responsible for formulating technical standards for plastic injection molding process, improvement of production process, improvement of product performance and structure, including the compilation of process instructions Follows existing documentation practices and continuously looks for improvements.
• Work closely with multiple teams, come up with Root cause analysis and improvement plans Operates under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment.

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Advanced Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to promote continuous change priorities while achieving desired results.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve set goals on time.
