About This Role
- You will join the Defectivity group which is part of the PSE organization.
- This Process Sustaining and Enhancement (PSE) organization is part of ICN8 and has the responsibility to improve and maintain the running process technologies.
- For an Automotive technology which is being ramped-up, defect detection and reduction is key to meet the high quality requirements of the produced products.
- To enable these activities, state-of-the-art defect inspection tools have been purchased and installed.
- The tools have multiple optical channels and large computing power.
- There is the capability to tailor the inspection to the product lay-out.
- Yields in integrated circuit manufacturing are for a large part determined by the presence of defects.
- Your responsibility is the successful management of the top ICN8 defectivity problems.
- Together with tool process and equipment engineers your challenge is to successfully control and/or reduce defects levels.
- Activities include optimizing defect inspection strategies, implementing best known methods for the use of the available defect inspection technology tool set as well as supporting the Defectivity employees in the fab.
- Responsible for maintaining a base-line Defectivity improvement process within the ICN8 organization.
- Key Areas of Responsibility: - Fab support, Responsible for improving defect levels in previous process families. - Defectivity knowledge source. - Process quality monitoring with regards to defectivity - Organizes improvement actions in all ICN8 departments in achieving their objectives through the guidance of senior defectivity engineers - Initiates and leads Problem solving teams in the event of incidents - Supports the Equipment and Process engineering in implementing correct off-line monitoring -Adequately covering risks for qualifications and changes to processes and / or modules with respect to defectivity issues. - Technically responsible for handling defectivity Out of Specs - Trend monitoring of the defectivity measurements.
- Education and Function requirements - Master’s degree in applied science, Physics, Electronics or other relevant technical area. - Proven leadership of project and improvement teams - Being able to act quickly and carefully under time pressure - Ability to handle multiple projects or issues in parallel - Can adjust the level of communication to the level of his audience: from defective operators to ICN8-MT Experience - Preferable 2-5 years’ experience in a high-tech environment - Knowledge of complex production processes - Languages: Dutch - Knowledge of process optimization, statistical process control, FMEA and Quality Management Systems (preferred) Personal skills - Raising the bar; Analytical, pragmatic, pro-active and result oriented - Engages curiosity; Self-assured and able to engage and convince people, also at higher management levels - Takes initiative; shows ownership, hands on mentality - Common sense - Working together: is a reliable team player, listens to and absorbs other ideas and opinions.
