  • NVIDIA is searching for a highly motivated, creative engineer with experience in system software to join the GPU Software team.
  • As someone who is hardworking and passionate about their work, you will design key aspects of our production GPU kernel drivers and embedded SW.
  • You should demonstrate the ability to excel in an environment with complex software and hardware designs.
  • What you’ll be doing: Define, design, develop and verify features our bleeding edge technology into our next-gen GPU chips or new SoCs platforms, collaborating with HW Arch/System engineers, SW fellow engineers, etc.
  • Be heavily involved with the early modeling and simulation required to produce our world-class GPU chips.
  • Follow the new GPU chips or SOC platforms all the way through the development process to the customer products that are used throughout the world.
  • Be heavily involved with the early firmware, performance, power management, and all of system software required to produce our world-class products.
  • Have multiple opportunities to collaborate and communicate effectively with teams across the globe.
  • What we need to see: Currently new BS, MS or PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong C programming, C++, low-level driver and x86, ARM or SOC system platform experience.
  • Familiarity with computer system architecture, microprocessor, and microcontroller fundamentals.
  • Kernel experience with Linux, Android, Chrome, or Windows systems.
  • Experience with complex system-level debugging is invaluable.
  • Ways to stand out from the crowd: Background and strength with complex SOC, AI & GPU computing system architecture design is invaluable.
  • Deep understanding of device drivers, memory management, SOC firmware, power management, and performance.
  • Experience on big complex system-level SW build flow/maintenance/Open Source Project.
  • Platform SW, System SW and Device SW stack understanding on x86, ARM, or SOC.
  • Experience or outstanding delivery with embedded system, x86, ARM or SOC system SW, e.g.: RTOS, performance tuning or power management.
