Overview

  • NVIDIA’s Networking System Validation Group is growing, and we are hiring a Junior Switch System Validation Engineer.
  • As a member of the team, you will contribute to NVIDIA’s core networking projects, which help drive the company’s technological and business growth.
  • You will develop knowledge of networking technologies and switch microarchitecture while helping validate, optimize, and debug devices in areas such as Quality of Service, performance, logic correctness, and AI-related features.
  • Working alongside experienced validation engineers, logic designers, circuit designers, and architects, you will contribute to successful product development across aggressive product cycles and gain hands-on experience in both pre-silicon and post-silicon validation.
  • You should have a solid foundation in software development and an interest in areas such as Python scripting, embedded software, device firmware, emulation, and silicon validation.
  • This is an opportunity to learn, grow, and take increasing ownership in a complex, multidisciplinary engineering environment.
  • What you will be doing: Work as part of a combined design and verification team specializing in switch full-chip validation.
  • Learn switch architecture and microarchitecture and translate requirements into validation scenarios.
  • Contribute to the development of full-chip test plans, test suites, and validation collateral.
  • Develop and maintain tests using Python and C in a Linux environment.
  • Run regressions, analyze results, and debug test failures with guidance from experienced engineers.
  • Help maintain test suites used for simulation, emulation and silicon platform bring-up and checkout.
  • Collaborate with design, architecture, firmware, and validation teams to identify and resolve issues.
  • Improve validation flows, automation, test coverage, and debugging capabilities.
  • What we need to see: B.Sc.
  • in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; outstanding recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Academic or practical programming experience with Python and familiarity with C or C++.
  • Basic experience working in a Linux environment.
  • Understanding of computer architecture, digital systems, networking, embedded systems, or related areas.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Motivation to learn complex systems and investigate technical problems.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ways to stand out from the crowd: Academic projects, internships, or practical experience involving verification, validation, embedded systems, firmware, or networking.
  • Familiarity with network protocols or switch architecture.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming, operating systems, or multithreaded application development.
  • Exposure to simulation, emulation, FPGA, or silicon bring-up environments.
  • Experience developing automated tests, debugging software or hardware failures, or analyzing test results.
