Privacy Counsel

What You'll Do

• as the program evolves.
• What we need to see: J.D. degree with a record of strong academic performance. 4+ years of experience in privacy law, including involvement with vendor contracts, DPAs, and/or data sharing agreements, acquired at a law firm, in-house, or both.
• Fundamental understanding of key privacy regulations, such as GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other relevant U.S. state privacy statutes.
• A license to practice law in California required.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities, including writing, attention to detail, and the capability to handle multiple workstreams efficiently.
• A practical, business-minded approach to legal risk, with the ability to provide clear, actionable mentorship.
• Ways to stand out from the crowd: Experience at a technology company or in a practice group passionate about technology transactions or data privacy.
• Familiarity with AI, data governance, or cybersecurity legal issues — or a desire to develop expertise in these areas.
• A CIPP/US, CIPP/E, or similar privacy certification.
• A history of contributing to scalable legal processes and internal resources.

• Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
• The base salary range is 120,000 USD - 207,000 USD for Level 2, and 168,000 USD - 264,500 USD for Level 3.
• You will also be eligible for equity and benefits .
