What You'll Do
- Lead the startup, development, and optimization of thin film process formulations to systematically improve product quality and reliability.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex assembly and fabrication process problems by applying structured failure analysis, FMEA, 8D, and SPC/FDC methodologies.
- Coordinate and implement process, equipment, and material evaluations to implement continuous improvements at critical process steps.
- Drive site-to-site process portability and handle new process baseline qualifications for seamless new product introductions (NPI).
- Partner with and audit global material suppliers to successfully achieve quality, cost, and comprehensive risk management objectives.
- Compile and evaluate rigorous test data to define processing requirements, operational limits, and material specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and scientific personnel to review design requirements and ensure absolute compatibility of manufacturing methods.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated experience in process development or manufacturing engineering within a semiconductor or high-tech fabrication environment.
- Hands-on experience applying statistical process control (SPC), Fault Detection and Classification (FDC), or FMEA methodologies to solve engineering problems.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and address process-related anomalies or equipment interactions.
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
- Direct experience specialized in Thin Films process engineering, baseline qualification, or pilot plant scale-up.
- Experience managing, auditing, and collaborating with advanced material and equipment suppliers.
- Demonstrated technical leadership or experience leading multi-functional continuous yield improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
