What You'll Do
- Design and develop smart manufacturing and AI solutions in advanced factory scheduling, optimization and simulation that enable the achievement of industry leading manufacturing capability.
- Develop high-quality data analytics and applications that provide actionable insights for management and manufacturing teams.
- Explore and apply new frontier ideas, concepts and technology to enable breakthrough solutions at Micron.
- Collaborate across global sites to identify opportunities and deliver holistic solutions to drive continuous improvement in production metrics.
- Drive global alignment and benchmarking of scheduling and simulation solutions.
- Requirements Possess a drive to make a difference and a passion for exploring new frontiers.
- Highly motivated, proactive, with a strong work ethic, able to work independently and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Data Science or other quantitative disciplines with strong emphasis on optimization, simulation, and algorithmic problem-solving.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on or experience in factory scheduling, optimization modeling, or simulation in a manufacturing or operations context.
- Knowledge and experience in optimization (LP, MIP, meta-heuristics) and tools like CPLEX/Gurobi strongly preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in discrete event simulation and reinforcement learning preferred.
- Direct experience with factory scheduling preferred.
