What You'll Do
- Facility Planning & Design Plan and implement electrical system changes for plant, office, and production equipment layouts.
- Ensure designs maximize operational efficiency and comply with applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards.
- Coordination & Documentation Work closely with architecture and engineering firms to develop design criteria and prepare detailed electrical layouts and drawings.
- Prepare bid sheets, technical specifications, and contracts for electrical construction and facility acquisition projects.
- Cost Estimation & Budgeting Review and estimate design costs, including equipment, installation, labor, materials, and related expenses.
- Provide accurate cost analysis to support project budgeting and decision-making.
- Construction Oversight Inspect electrical construction and installation progress to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Address technical issues and ensure timely resolution during project execution.
- Compliance & Standards Develop performance specifications and criteria to meet unique operational requirements and adhere to building and safety codes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical standards, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in facility system design, installation, and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of electricity, water, special gas & chemical, Exhaust and mechanical, or CSA related areas, safety regulations, and industrial standards.
- Proficiency in design software and project management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Preferred Skills: Experience in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with facility system efficiency and sustainability practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally.
