Shift FMCS Technician (Facilities Operations)

What You'll Do

• FMCS / BMS / SCADA Monitoring Monitor all facility systems continuously through FMCS, BMS, and SCADA platforms.
• Track operational status, equipment health, trends, and performance parameters.
• Monitor utility systems including: Electrical Distribution Systems HVAC & Cleanroom Systems Chillers & Cooling Towers CDA (Compressed Dry Air) Systems UPW (Ultra Pure Water) Systems RO/DI Water Systems Industrial Water Systems Wastewater Treatment & ZLD Systems Fire Detection & Life Safety Systems Gas Detection Systems Exhaust & Scrubber Systems Environmental Monitoring Systems 2.
• Alarm Management & Response Monitor, acknowledge, classify, and respond to alarms 24/7.
• Analyze alarm priority levels: Critical Major Minor Advisory Escalate alarms according to escalation matrix and SOPs.
• Notify duty engineers and responsible technicians during abnormal conditions.
• Ensure alarm closure after verification and restoration 3.
• Field Verification & Troubleshooting Perform field inspections to verify alarms and abnormal equipment conditions.
• Conduct first-level troubleshooting of utility systems.
• Support equipment restart and restoration activities.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams during breakdowns.
• Assist in corrective and preventive maintenance activities. 4.
• Event Logging & Documentation Maintain accurate operational logs and event records.
• Record: Equipment trips Utility interruptions Alarm history Maintenance activities Emergency events Prepare shift reports and daily operation summaries.
• Maintain documentation for audits and operational reviews. 5.
• Dispatch & Coordination Act as central coordination point during equipment failures and emergencies.
• Dispatch technical personnel to affected locations.
• Follow-up and track restoration progress.
• Coordinate with: Facilities Engineers Operations Teams ERT (Emergency Response Team) Contractors and Vendors 6.
• Shift Handover Activities Conduct detailed shift pass-downs.
• Communicate: Outstanding alarms Equipment under maintenance Ongoing troubleshooting activities Pending work orders Critical plant risks Ensure smooth transition between shifts. 7.
• Emergency Response Support Support emergency situations including: Power Failure Utility Outage Chiller Failure Fire Alarm Events Water Leakage Hazardous Gas Alarms Environmental Excursions Provide real-time information and system status updates.
• Assist ERT during incident response and recovery activities. 8.
• Routine Operational Activities Perform equipment health checks.
• Review operational trends and system performance.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Identify recurring alarms and recommend improvements.
• Support reliability and energy-saving initiatives.
• Required Qualifications Education : Dimploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering Experience 5–10 years of experience in Facilities Operations, Utilities Operations, Semiconductor, Pharmaceutical, Data Center, Chemical, or Manufacturing Industries.
• Experience in CMMS, FMCS, BMS, SCADA, or Industrial Automation Systems preferred.
