Senior/Staff Engineer- Process Utilities

What You'll Do

• Review process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for gas systems.
• Size and select equipment such as vaporizers, pressure regulators, valves, and pipelines for cryogenic and high-pressure gases.
• Ensure proper insulation and vacuum jacketed piping for cryogenic lines.
• Interface with utilities and facility teams for gas supply and distribution.
• Implement automated control systems for gas monitoring and safety interlocks.
• Conduct hazard analysis (HAZOP) and risk assessments for gas systems.
• Ensure compliance with international standards (ASME, CGA, NFPA, ISO).
• Troubleshoot gas supply issues and optimize consumption.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans for gas systems.
• Lead installation and commissioning of gas systems.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for equipment procurement and installation.
• Required Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of cryogenic systems and high-purity gas handling.
• Familiarity with vacuum jacketed piping, pressure control, and flow measurement.
• Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, Aspen HYSYS, or equivalent).
• Experience: 7–12 years in process engineering with focus on industrial gases.
• Hands-on experience in semiconductor, chemical, or pharmaceutical facilities preferred.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and project management abilities.
• Preferred Certifications: ASME Pressure Vessel Certification Safety certifications (OSHA, NEBOSH) Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing (optional) About Micron Technology, Inc.
