Safety engineer

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs to ensure observance of local, national, and international laws.
• Conduct detailed risk assessments to identify potential hazards and resolve mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to efficiently implement safety measures in all operational processes.
• Provide training and support to employees to foster a culture of safety and inclusion.
• Perform regular safety audits and inspections to ensure the maintenance of special safety standards.
• Investigate incidents and accidents to resolve root causes and develop corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation of safety activities and incidents for internal and external review.
• Support ISO System by participating in internal audits to continuously improve our safety program and procedures.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to continuously improve safety protocols.
• Education Required: Bachelor’s degree or above in Occupational Health and Industrial Safety Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience Required: 3+ years Occupational Safety and Health experience in Semiconductor or high technology industries is preferred.
• Specific experience in safety programs including air pollution control, waste reduction/recycling/ reuse, environmental impact assessment, wastewater treatment and greenhouse gas inventory..etc, but not limited.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing safety programs in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of local, national, and international safety regulations.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and collaborators.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Fluency in Mandarin and proficiency in English.
• Qualifications/Certifications Required: Certifications in safety and health management (e.g., Occupational safety management specialist, Occupational health management specialist.) ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 lead auditor is preferred.
