Registered Apprenticeship, Facilities Water Service Technician

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Math proficiency equivalent to pre‑calculus level; this will be evaluated through a brief skills assessment during the hiring process.
• Willingness and ability to enroll in our related technical instructor for schooling Basic to intermediate PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, Teams) and Zoom for virtual meetings.
• Solid time management and prioritization skills.
• Reliable and consistent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Students enrolled in (or prior exposure to) Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Wastewater Treatment Plant Technology, Instrumentation/Automation programs.
• Mechanical proficiency with the ability to understand and troubleshoot mechanical systems.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and equipment/automotive repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot intermediate problems and identify and resolve root causes.
• Ability to multi‑task and work effectively in a fast‑paced, team environment.
• Must be flexible to work any shift and rotate shifts as needed (Micron will work with apprentices to support class schedule as needed).
