Principal Engineer, Global Environmental Compliance - Design

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience • 10+ years of experience in environmental engineering, compliance, or facilities within semiconductor, manufacturing, or related industries • Demonstrated experience interfacing with engineering design teams and influencing facility or infrastructure system design decisions • Experience supporting greenfield or expansion projects with environmental requirements integration across multiple domains (air, water, waste) • Working knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes • Ability to work effectively across global teams and influence stakeholders in a matrixed organization Preferred Qualifications • Advanced degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field • Experience working with or within Facilities engineering disciplines (mechanical, process utilities, or controls) in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environments • Familiarity with facility system design (e.g., exhaust/abatement systems, ultrapure water, wastewater, chemical distribution) and their environmental performance drivers • Familiarity with global environmental regulatory frameworks and multi-site compliance strategies • Experience developing or applying engineering standards or design specifications • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills As a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
