Planning Engineer

What You'll Do

• Customer Delivery & Order Fulfillment Ensure on-time delivery for all production orders .
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to understand customer requirements and fulfill ad-hoc upside requests.
• Work with Central Planning to optimize network loading and meet customer order commitments.
• Material Planning for Production Builds Partner with material planners to ensure sufficient materials for execution, including engineering requests and normal demand.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and Central Planning to secure wafer supply Capacity Planning & Optimization Plan, study, and analyze weekly capacity feasibility with Industrial Engineering (IE) for regular and ad-hoc customer requests.
• Optimize loading to maximize assembly output.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing on tactical horizon planning for immediate weeks.
• Production Build Execution Work with Process Engineers on special engineering lead lot build requirements.
• Ensure production builds start with correct process flow and preparation.
• Plan and coordinate with production teams to start planned orders on time.
• Identify efficiency gaps and propose improvement solutions.
• Scheduling Probe Jobs Optimize job combinations (bins, repair densities, final param) to use system resources efficiently.
• Implement dashboards and alerts for early detection of probe-related issues.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve discrepancies in probe results.
• O ther Responsibilities : Participate in area projects and improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes.
• Support continuous improvement and cost optimization efforts.
• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying , testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
• Job Requirements/Qualification/ Selection Criteria: Bachelors degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical/Computer engineering preferable .
• Demonstrated at least 2 years of leadership skills, such as in university or other co-curricular activities ​ Production and material planning expertise . ​ Capacity analysis and optimization techniques.
• ERP system proficiency (SAP or equivalent).
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
• Highly motivated to work in a dynamic environment and succeed using effective coping and management methods Ability to multi-task and organize work systematically in meeting dead-lines without compromising on quality Excellent communication and collaboration across functions.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
• Prior programming work (inclusive of vibe coding using free Gen AI tools) Hands-on experience in AI (Chatbot, Agentic AI, Automation, etc) tools in academic or work environments , SAP warehouse modules, ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System) Management Experience with MRB resolution.
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.
