OMT Metrology Application Engineer

What You'll Do

• /Tasks include but are not limited to: Develop, analyze and implement metrology measurement techniques in Photo Lithography or Film Metrology, including Overlay, CD-SEM, OCD scatterometry, X-ray and surface analysis platforms.
• Perform SWR (Special Work Request) and conversion plan to validate the Metrology recipe setup for new process change, advanced tool qualification and Engineering evaluations.
• Be responsible for NPI (New Product Introduction) transfer, defining quality metrics, achieving metrology reliability, and driving the cross-site matching performance.
• Collaborate consistently with fab operation and equipment team to improve the fab pillars in terms of quality, cost, capacity, and cycle time.
• Provide reliable and valuable metrology applications to enhance Micron's technical competitiveness and working methods and promote the growth of the metrology team.
• Driv e the understanding of new metrology technology and measurement techniques to ensure that our measurement capabilities meet the technical roadmap .
• Evaluate c ontinuous i mprovement p ro gram through vendor engagement and cross-functional teamwork with internal team.
• Engage with the global network to develop best-known methods and maintain alignment between Fab sites.
• Education and Experience: Master's degree in Physics, Photonics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related engineering field is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree of Science and Engineering or equivalent experience with minimum 3+ years proven experience in Semiconductor Process will also be considered.
• Solid understanding of lithography overlay including overlay model and NZO (Non-zero offset) correction, or the experience with metrology/ inspection operation (SEM, X-ray, Laser or Optical Systems).
• Practical experience with basic data science and data mining (Python, JMP, SQL, Y3, coding, or programming skills) is preferred, with at least 6 months of experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in model-based problem solving (MBPS), with strong capabilities in root cause investigation, data correlation, and analytical deep dive.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills to effectively convey technical insights to global partners.
• Strong Model-based problem-solving expertise with demonstrated abilities to investigate root cause analysis, data correlation, and analytical deep dive.
• Proven project management skills with flexibility and persistence in achieving goals on schedule.
