OMT ME FST Automation Management (AGV/AMR/SPOT)

What You'll Do

• Lead and implement warehouse and fab automation solutions, including AGV, AMR, and robotic systems (e.g., SPOT Robot) Design and optimize automated material handling flow between warehouse and fab to improve efficiency, safety, and delivery performance Coordinate cross-functional teams (Operations, IT, Facilities, Suppliers) to deploy and integrate automation systems with factory operations (e.g., SAP, MCS, AMHS interface) Manage AGV/AMR fleet operation, including route planning, traffic control, task dispatching, and performance monitoring Participate in automation concept design, layout planning, simulation, and system integration (ASRS, VLM, lifter, robotic applications) Drive continuous improvement of automation solutions through data analysis, system optimization, and troubleshooting Support automation system commissioning, testing, training, and long-term sustainment Collaborate with global teams on automation strategies, standards, and deployment roadmap Qualifications & Skills: Solid experience or knowledge in automation systems, especially AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) and AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robot) Familiar with robotic applications and emerging technologies such as SPOT (robot dog), robotic arm integration, or autonomous inspection systems Understanding of material handling systems in semiconductor manufacturing or logistics environments Knowledge of system integration, including communication protocols between AGV/AMR and host systems (e.g., MCS, MES, SAP) Experience in layout planning, simulation tools, or automation flow analysis is a plus Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot automation system issues Ability to work with suppliers and drive technical discussion, proposal review, and solution alignment Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in cross-functional and global environments Good English proficiency, with the ability to conduct technical discussions, participate in global meetings, and read/write technical documentation in English to support collaboration with global teams Basic programming or scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, SQL, automation logic) is a plus.
• Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field 3+ years experience in automation, robotics, material handling systems, or related fields preferred Job About Micron Technology, Inc.
