About This Role

• (Overview) This position focuses on quality improvement and yield enhancement in semiconductor manufacturing.
• You will propose and implement improvement actions to detect defects and abnormalities occurring on the production line.
• No prior experience is required.
• Comprehensive training and on-the-job learning (OJT) are provided after joining, allowing you to build foundational skills with confidence.
• Application Engineer, Metrology at Micron Technology, Inc is mainly create/modify Metrology recipe and built detection for yield and quality improvement.
• Correspond all products related items, also will do transfer from TD.
• You will be working with a team of other PI, process and equipment engineers responsible for starting up, developing and optimizing metrology recipe to improve product quality and reliability, working on detection enhancement, yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management as well as resolving manufacturing line problems.
• Responsibilities and Tasks: Metrology Application Engineer role is responsible for recipe healthiness/explore new methodology/Capacity/Quality/Yield(Detection and new responsibility)Also development in collaboration with technology development team to meet Micron’s technology roadmap.
• Must to have: ・Have knowledge equal to Bachelor's degree. ・Report progress of each task timely and accurately ・Build good relationships with team members/all related members/Network Business Partners. ・Have good communication and presentation skill. ・ Be able to have conversations and create documents in English. ・Understand quality control and establish a proactive quality control. ・Proven ability to set, measure and achieve short and long - term goals ・Must be willing to be stationed in F15 MFG (Hiroshima manufacturing) site and when required for an extended period of time.
• Good to have: ・Have semiconductor knowledge ・Have knowledge equal to Master's degree. ・Metrology knowledge・Micron basic knowledge (Transfer experience/BKM etc) ・Understanding of the Micron world-wide team structure, standards and processes ・An overall understanding of typical step sequences in a memory manufacturing traveler ・Ability to clearly communicate with content experts, written and oral (via conference calls) About Micron Technology, Inc.
