About This Role
- As a Reliability Operation Manager, you will be accountable for the vision and management of a team that is responsible for validating and qualifying Micron’s product to ensure best-in-class reliability.
- You will manage an industry-leading, highly technical, engineering team to define quality and reliability requirements, resolve reliability issues, and establish standards for qualification of new product technologies.
- The position requires knowledge of semiconductor component assembly and surface mount processes, knowledge of industry-standard qualification methods and requirements (e.g.
- JEDEC, AEC, IPC), and the ability to apply that knowledge to ensure the success of new product technologies.
- You are responsible for managing and optimizing departmental performance by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- You will develop high performing teams and improving individual capability through performance management systems.
- Leadership for building and implementing department strategies, processes, and policy through active oversight of functional teams and projects, and mentor functional leaders through collaboration and the development of sustainably successful solutions.
- As a Quality Reliability Operations Manager at Micron, you will be responsible to manage the Reliability scope and collaborate with Test MFG for Test readouts.
- Your responsibilities will include managing operations throughput, prioritizing reliability sampling requests, planning for capacity/resource requirement to support the operations, coordinating with area planners for shared resources and running operations.
- You will work closely with various engineering teams to plan and meet reliability sampling for quals, monitoring and SWR.
- You will also be communicating with PE and QA/product coordinators on product disposition decisions to support the QA hold release.
- Responsibilities and Tasks Manage Team Member Performance Develop a high performing team Establish functional area objectives aligned to department and corporate strategic objectives and align IPP goals Establish job responsibilities and performance and development goals for direct reports Provide performance feedback on an on-going basis and conduct performance appraisal for direct reports Collect, review, and provide verbal and written performance feedback to continuously develop your functional area Monitor and manage functional area performance achievement Coach, mentor and develop direct reports and future leaders Manage and ensure conflict resolution Provide and support recognition Build an Effective Team Establish functional area objectives, align roles and responsibilities and communicate line of sight to department and company strategic objectives Remove barriers and drive for accountability Optimize functional area performance and structure Assess talent and develop talent management strategies to execute objectives Evaluate and support learning opportunities in your functional area and plan development opportunities with direct reports Empower team members and promote teamwork Ensure partnerships across functional areas and customer groups Develop and implement functional area objectives and strategies Oversee work execution and problem solving Manage the troubleshooting of escalated issues and drive resolution Coordinate and communicate departmental policy and procedures Manage adherence to departmental policy and procedures and provide feedback Manage internal budgets Identify and implement system and process improvements Develop, communicate, and manage functional area performance metrics Manage, engage in, and promote continuous cost reduction and quality improvement efforts Provide Organizational Leadership to Build Functional Strategies, Processes, and Policy Create and execute strategies according to requirements (e.g. stakeholder, regulatory, corporate, departmental) Monitor functional area performance to plan Utilize domain knowledge to influence subject matter expertise Participate in or lead cross-functional teams and projects Mentor direct reports and future leaders Collaborate with peers to construct global solutions Manage conflict, identify and utilize escalation paths Align internal strategies and communicate line of sight to corporate strategic objectives Ensure a Safe Work Environment Perform work area inspections to identify, anticipate and promptly correct hazards Conduct timely event investigations using root cause analysis techniques Encourage hazard identification and safe work practices by giving periodic workplace safety talk Education Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience Engineering - Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical, Computer, Industrial Any Related field of study Qualifications Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills The ability to work independently in a very fast paced environment and adapt to daily changes The drive to investigate root-cause and provide corrective action for system inefficiencies Very strong spreadsheet skills Attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple projects Confident in data entry into various database and system environment Experience Required 7 years experience in any of the following: Equipment International managerial and operational experience Management/Leadership Production/Manufacturing Engineering About Micron Technology, Inc.
