Manager - Automation

What You'll Do

• As a Plant Automation Manager at Micron, you will take on a meaningful role in making sure our operations run flawlessly.
• Your responsibilities will include: Leading the automation strategy for our manufacturing plant, focusing on improving efficiency and productivity.
• Hand on Experience in Managing & installation and ongoing support of automatic material handling systems, ASRS, robots, COBOTS, and manufacturing automations.
• Managing & coordinating the development and deployment of AGV/AMR systems to streamline plant logistics.
• Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to determine and implement world-class automation solutions.
• Ensuring all automation processes comply strictly with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Providing leadership and mentorship to the automation team, encouraging a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Develops systems to maintain reports and record keeping of company products.
• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
• Oversees the planning, development, implementation and maintaining and troubleshooting equipment to ensure minimal downtime and efficient performance.
• Requirements To succeed in this role, you should have: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. 10 -16 years of proven experience in Engineering Projects, Plant automation, Maintenance preferably in the electronics component or automotive industry.
• Experience in deploying and maintaining AGV/AMR systems.
• Strong people management abilities, with a history of guiding and nurturing high-performing teams.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to successfully implement automation solutions.
• Strong communication and cooperation skills, with a proactive approach to project management.
