IT System Administrator

What You'll Do

• and Tasks: You will work regularly with Micron’s Business Units to ensure solutions meet or exceed business requirements.
• You will be expected to suggest, promote, and leverage published standards to minimize environment complexity and ensure regulatory as well as license compliance.
• You will have the opportunity to travel to other Micron sites as well as technology conferences and trainings.
• Operations​: Participate in rotational oncall support Work on cases brought up to vendors (RedHat, VMWare, Cisco, Dell, Lenovo)​ Support storage and DC operations Participate in site ERT as oncall support​ Support changes following organizational change process Work on operation improvement initiatives, such as issue and incident count review and reduction​ Review operational reports and address abnormalities and passdown items​ Address issues, risks and concerns (such as performance issues, intermittent timeouts, etc)​ Capacity, lifecycle refresh planning and firmware management Participate as site representative and coordinate activities and work on issues and initiatives Participate in Unix Collab meetings​ Participate in Business Continuity Planning and DR strategy including detailing of DR procedures, and implementing DR drills​ Maintain and update operational documentations to ensure up-to-date Projects & Others: Support OS, software and hardware lifecycle refreshes ​ Support initiatives from MFG and non-IT groups through requirement analysis, POC and implementation Develop SOE for upgrades and migrations​ Define strategy to perform technology upgrades and lifecycle refreshes ​ Perform POC for new technology and application systems​ Develop automation for productivity improvement and operational efficiency​ About Micron Technology, Inc.
