GEL Engineering Technician

What You'll Do

• Set up, operate, monitor, and maintain equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable performance.
• Collect, analyze, and verify operational data to identify performance trends, deviations, and opportunities for improvement.
• Diagnose equipment issues, identify inefficiencies, and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Document equipment performance, issues, and resolutions, and communicate findings to appropriate collaborators.
• Maintain required training and certifications, actively pursue skill development, and participate in cross‑training to strengthen team capabilities.
• Follow all environmental, health, safety, and security requirements, including safe equipment operation, hazard reporting, and audit participation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by maintaining organized work areas, contributing to process improvements, and sharing best practices.
• Demonstrate strong customer focus and teamwork by collaborating across functions, mentoring others, pursuing innovation, and approaching challenges with accountability and respect.
• Using AI to improve job functions Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years mechanical, electrical, or technical understanding, gained through education, hands‑on experience, military service, or personal technical projects.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts (3 days on/4 days off and 4 days on/3 days off), progress between day and night shifts every 4 months, and adapt to different shifts and overtime as needed to support business operations. 2+ years experience or exposure to preventive maintenance and solving processes (manufacturing, lab, automotive, medical, electronics, military, or other vocational trades).
• Basic proficiency using mechanical, electrical, and/or PC‑based tools or software to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Preferred Requirements: Associate degree in relevant technical fields such as Mechatronics, Electronics, or Robotics and/or 2 years of experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment, automation, and/or technical military experience. 4+ years mechanical, electrical, or technical understanding, gained through education, hands‑on experience, military service, or personal technical projects. 4+ years experience or exposure to preventive maintenance and solving processes (manufacturing, lab, automotive, medical, electronics, military, or other vocational trades).
