Advanced Technology Japan Engineer, Dry Etching

What You'll Do

• and Tasks • Complete all required safety training and perform work in accordance with Micron safety policies. • Develop, optimize, and sustain advanced dry etch processes for DRAM manufacturing. • Lead process improvement initiatives focused on yield, quality, productivity, and cost reduction. • Apply statistical analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies to identify, diagnose, and resolve manufacturing issues. • Plan and execute process evaluations supporting new product introduction, technology node transitions, and process changes. • Collaborate with equipment engineers and suppliers to improve tool performance and operational stability. • Lead projects that improve process capability, reduce risk, and increase manufacturing efficiency. • Create and maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, process specifications, and engineering reports. • Work closely with global development teams and cross-functional stakeholders to support technology roadmaps and manufacturing excellence. • Utilize analytics platforms and generative AI tools for data analysis, technical reporting, knowledge management, project execution, and data-driven decision making.
• Required Skills and Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes or equipment engineering. • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. • Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional and global teams. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data analytics tools. • Basic English communication skills. • Knowledge of programming, scripting, or database systems is preferred. • Ability to utilize AI tools, including generative AI, for information gathering, data analysis, report generation, and operational efficiency improvement, or a demonstrated willingness to learn and apply emerging AI technologies.
